Stress Less with the GSC
We all know being a grad student can be mighty stressful at times, so the GSC invites you to destress at the grad lounge on Friday, April 8th, 2022 between 4 and 6:30 pm! Local massage therapists Alexandra Spalding and Hoyt Bingham will be there giving ~ 10 minute chair massages (head/neck/shoulder) for those who like massages to relieve stress. If you don’t like massages, we will also have a station for coloring and/or gratitude card making, plus tea and snacks to wind down.
If you’re interested in the massage, please sign up here!
Please sign up with your Dartmouth email!
Hope to see you there!

3 Minute Thesis Competition
Sign Up Here: https://forms.gle/1gHN6e3aQU4KfQeL6
The 3 Minute Thesis Competition is organized by Graduate Student Council each year, this year it will take place on April 7th, 2022 5PM till 6:30PM in Moore Hall B03. Each contestant presents a 3 Minute Pitch about their research, no slides, just you and the microphone. Contestants are judged by a panel led by Dean Kull.
The awards are sponsored by Guarini and are:
1st place - $500
2nd place - $250
3rd place - $100
The audience will also vote on a Crowd Favorite while the judges deliberate, the award is $100!
This year the Winner takes home an extra award for their Program/Department, so you represent yourself and your colleagues! Let's see who can do the best!
You can nominate yourself or a fellow graduate student. In case we receive more nominations than the number of contestants that we can fit into the program, the GSC's Academic Committee will blindly review the submissions and judge based on how well you can pitch yourself in this form. Have fun with it!
