Join the members of New England Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (NE GWiSE) at our 2023 Fall Retreat featuring a keynote presentation by Dr. Merav Opher! Come meet graduate students from other universities as we hear from our keynote presenter and embark on a day of networking and workshops to foster collaborations and friendships across the greater Boston area! All graduate students of all genders are welcome!

This year’s conference will focus on understanding and tackling the challenges of the academic experience. The event will revolve around several aspects of the academic experience: we will focus on the challenges of being an international student, the difficulties of having several marginalized identities, the unfair expectations of being a woman in academia, and how to make the next step after grad school. The event will also include a guided networking activity that will give the participants the opportunity to create new precious connections that will help them in their career path.
