IVY + SUMMIT 2025

The Ivy+ Summit 2025 proved an excellent form for communication among graduate council executive members. We shared best practices and came away with inspirational next steps to improve wellbeing on campus

Graduate leaders from Ivy institutions gathered to celebrate accomplishments, tackle shared challenges, and strengthen collaboration.

The Brown Graduate Student Council (GSC) hosted the Ivy+ Summit 2025, bringing together representatives from institutions, including Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Yale University.

GSC President Elysee Sadia - Dartmouth delivered a scintillating speech, highlighting Dartmouth’s unique strengths and advocacy efforts.  Dartmouth Graduate Student Executive members engaged in roundtable discussions, fostering collaboration and innovative solution topics like accessibility, mental health, budgets & policy, and conflict resolution processes.

Beyond well-being, the summit tackled significant topics including federal policy impacts on graduate education, graduate unionization dynamics, strengthening campus administrative partnerships, and international student challenges related to immigration and cultural adjustment. Attention was also given to fostering community and experiential learning beyond academics, improving mentorship and advising accountability, career development supports including for non-academic paths, and ensuring equitable funding access for conferences, travel, and fieldwork.

This robust exchange highlighted the power of collaboration and advocacy to advance graduate student success and inclusivity across Ivy+ institutions.

Continuing this cherished tradition, Brown ceremoniously passed the torch to Dartmouth University for Ivy + Summit 2026

From insightful conversations to a strong sense of camaraderie, the weekend was celebrated as a resounding success.
