AOA students and house staff are hosting this fundraiser in an effort to bring Dartmouth faculty, fellows, residents, students and community members together to honor the work that Listen Community Services and Dartmouth Cancer Center Food Pantry are doing. Representatives from both organizations will share more details about their work and how they serve our local community. Geisel students and Dartmouth Health residents/fellows will be cooking dinner and there will be a silent auction of premium gift items, goods, and services from local Upper Valley organizations, students, and faculty. There will also be be raffle prizes for all attendees.
All monetary proceeds from the event will go to supporting the Listen Center Heating Helpers Fund. Especially toward the end of the long winter, affording heating fuel is a significant challenge to many families in the Upper Valley. The Listen Center Heating Fund provides much needed support to help families heat their homes. We will additionally be hosting an onsite donation drive for the Dartmouth Cancer Center food pantry and are requesting that participants bring the following items to the event:
-Baked beans
-Progresso canned soups (all varieties)
-Light or white tuna fish in water
-Gatorade 32 oz bottles (all varieties)
-Boxes of Carnation Instant Breakfast packets (chocolate)
-Fresh fruit
-Other non-expired produce or canned goods
Tickets: The suggested donation amount to purchase tickets is listed below. However, donations of any amount are appreciated and all donations will go directly to the Listen Center Heating Helpers Fund. Tickets can be purchased via cash at the door or via Venmo or Zelle for online payment options.
If you are unable to attend but would like to support Listen Community Services, you can make an online donation or drop off checks made out to Listen Community Services with Nancy McNulty or Tina Hoisington.
