Dartmouth GWiSE (Graduate Womxn in Science & Engineering) presents our first Brown Bag Series. We have invited rising Dartmouth female faculty/staff across disciplines and departments that are making significant contributions to advance their field of research. The speakers will talk about their research, share their decision to pursue academia and discuss the transition from from graduate school to their current position. Lunch and refreshments will be provided on a first come first serve basis, so sign up!
As a chapter of New England GWISE, the central purpose of Dartmouth GWISE is to empower, support, and develop a community of womxn and historically marginalized communities in STEM fields. Our core belief is that the basis of diversity is intersectionality. Through our programs, advocacy, and outreach, we want to help with building a safe and inclusive graduate community at Dartmouth where the voices of women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ communities, and other underrepresented groups are being centered and celebrated.
