This weekend, Thursday, Feb. 23 through Sunday, Feb. 26, we invite you to experience BemaLights 2023!
BemaLights is a magical installation of light and sound intended help us see winter in a new light as we approach the end of our winter term. It features submissions by students, including musical contributions by Charles Peoples III (GR ’24). BemaLights began in 2021 and has quickly become a beloved winter program at Dartmouth. This year’s unusual winter weather has presented challenges for accessing the Bema for this year’s program, but we’ve adapted. This year’s installation will overlook the Bema from the top of Observatory Hill. The installation will stretch from Shattuck Observatory to Bartlett Tower, with interactive elements sprinkled throughout. It looks like Mother Nature will give us some fresh snow on Thursday, so grab a warm beverage and swing through to experience the magic and get some great photos.
BemaLights will be open nightly from 6pm-10pm.
