This event will be a lecture with the purpose of educating students about the trans community, history, and legislation that has and is being passed in connection to the community.
Our keynote speaker and MC of the event is Erin Reed, an American journalist and trans rights activist. She is well known for her creation of the Anti-Trans Risk Assessment map, using data to bring awareness to the range of state-wide risk that exists on trans adults and youth. At the event, Erin Reed will speak for forty-five minutes about trans legislation and the community’s history. This fulfills our theme’s purpose of educating people about trans roots and encouraging them to be prideful of all the work that has gotten us here now.
Breakfast with Erin Reed is a limited invitation event. Please reach out to Pride staff and co-chairs with any questions.
